Donald Eubank is an experienced strategic planner whose career spans the IT, finance, media, and environmental services industries. As the co-founder of Read the Air, a Tokyo-based strategic advisory firm, Donald has been a key partner for organizations seeking to create corporate value by developing sustainable business models and decarbonization strategies across the APAC region.
Donald supports teams to define key sustainability objectives and outcomes, from economic to social and environmental factors. To ensure project success and alignment, he works to familiarize all project stakeholders with the opportunities and potential constraints in new business models. He equips organizations to take the next step, assessing the feasibility of execution plans, assisting in implementation, and designing systems to assess impact.
At Climate Finance Asia, Donald leads the facility-level Just Transition Working Group, where he developed the facility-Level Just Transition Guidelines and practical tools for banks that are financing coal phaseout projects. He is a co-author of Leading Sustainably: The Path to Sustainable Business and How the SDGs Changed Everything (Routledge) and a contributor to The Handbook of Climate Change Leadership in Organisations.
Donald established the Sustainability Roundtable at Temple University Japan and has guest lectured at the Ban Ki-moon ESG Academy, Waseda Business School, and Hitotsubashi ICS.
